Things That are Worth Your Penny (Yeah! Wordplay)

In  this  world, there are so many  things to hate, brussel sprouts (I actually don't hate this but so many people do!!), people who think the world is their trash can (guess what?? jerk, that gum is gonna get stuck in someone's shoe and they will hate you for it)  and last but not the least........bullies (yeah this one's serious, so be NICE! ). However, there are things in this world to love and this is a list of some of them. The summer makes me want to try new things so I'll (hopefully) post more lists like this. Now, lets begin.

1. Tazo Bottled Organic teas:
These things were made for summers hot days!!! They're refreshing, not too caloric and sugary (if you  pick your flavor carefully, my favorite is the GIANT PEACH so far) and convenient (they're glass but that makes them  recyclable and they're not THAT heavy). So get ready to unwind to your happy place, no matter where you are, one sip at a time.

2. Kale Chips: (Trader Joe's has this really great one)
Kale is a nutrient power house thats not very easy to consume (think chewy and flavorless leaves). Enter nacho flavored kale chips. These things are crunchy with spices and nuts/seeds adding flavor naturally. So its freakin delicious and guilt free (1 serving has 132 calories, 130% of your vitamin C and 184% of vitamin A's daily dose).

3. Goldfish Puffs: Salsa Con Queso flavored
I like to think of myself as health minded but I like my occasional junk food fix and these are perfect!! They're in the usual goldfish cracker shape (adorable) but have a crunchy, cheeto-y texture(grown up) and an explosive flavorful bite. This particular flavor is garden salsa and cheddar cheese 's wonderful baby, which is JUST. SO. GOOD.

4. Alba Botanica Hawaiian Sunscreen with soothing aloe vera (SPF 30):
Sunscreen is key in summer and often forgotten but recently I discovered this wonderful tube. It smells so nice, has a formula that moisturizes with no parabens, sulfates or animal testing drama. Summary: You will never forget your sunscreen EVER AGAIN!! (and will thank yourself 30 years later for it).

5. Nourish Organic Replenishing Argan oil:
Moroccan argan oil  has been all the craze in hair products this year but nothing works better than the actual deal, namely the aforementioned product. This oil  is a natural blend of rose hip, argan oil and pomegranate that makes skin soft and hair shiny. So go on, get glowing with this multi-tasking product.

DIY Shoes

Inspired by this inked out Roger Vivier bag (which is gorgeous and expensive).....

.....came these inked out shoes (super fun and cheap)
Displaying 20140418_172706.jpg
.....all you need to DIY is
-alcohol ink (Joanne craft store has it for $10 for a 3 pack)
-shoes to paint (I got mine for $10 at forever21)
- masking tape (You can get this at art stores for sure for under $5)

1. take out the laces and cover the parts of the shoe you want unpainted with tape (it protects from ink drips)
2. go crazy with ink, drop and splatter it on the shoes as much  as you want
3. let it dry

DONE :)

On black friday, people rush to malls on midnight, with coffee in hand and eyes set on great deals but some of us, we are well... lazy (like me) or sleepy (also like me). So what do we do? Well, we shop at home, online on sleepy saturday or sunday (I'm making it  a thing)!! Its Never Too Cool For Style

Wear
pretty
dresses....
all year long, thanks to these transition pieces.

Lace up booties are chic, warm and perfect for pairing with everything  from dresses to jeans.

What I bought: These grayish brown lace up boots have
a boho feel to them. The heel is pretty
tiny so its super comfy and stylish. Available at  forever21.com
or forever21 stores for $32.20.

A long, over-sized cardigan is totally cozy and cute with a free-spirited boho-ness to it. Basically, its a wearable blanket :)

What I bought: A mustard yellow sweater. I love it  because it
goes great with dresses. and with the color and  fit adds a
down-to-earth cozy feel to any outfit!
Available at forever21.com and forever21 stores for $32.

A moto coat is edgy and functional, pair with a girly lace dress for a good girl gone wild vibe (no motorcycle necessary).

What I bought: I love this coat. Its sorta punk rock with blue and
black color combination  and the leather detail, but classic with it's
shape. Available in delias stores and delias.com for $66.90 (its a
little bit expensive but totally worth it).

Patterned tights will keep you warm when you wear pretty dresses  in the fall and add a quirk to your ensemble. For even colder weather, sweater or fleece tights will be your best friend.
