The words of a broken heart

Tell me that you hear me,
Tell me that you care,
Open up the doors you've closed,
It's been a while since I have seen your face.

Life has been a battle,
And my heart has been an empty mess,
Nothing has been going good,
But I've gotten used to the craziness.

You should have been there,
Instead you left my side,
I've battled this all alone,
Made my way through snow and stones.

It still hurts,
And I battle the pain,
Avoid at all costs,
Feeling as insane as I really am.

Yes, you really should have guided me,
You really should have softened your voice,
And let me in.
And you should have shown you cared,
But by not being there,
You showed me how much you really did.

(Its sad, but it's what I needed to get out of my heart, I guess)
